The "Beast" (6 neck guitar) is here!

I was watching BBC Breakfast news (I know… how sad) when I heard the mention of the beast!

The beast is this seven headed guitar!

Priced at £750, it is very cheap… however naturally I worry about the sound quality if a 6 necked guitar is that cheap!

There is however a demand for this monstrousity! Macaris Intruments stated “When Gary Hutchins shipped us a five neck guitar we thought we’d put it in the window to get a reaction - It was sold with half an hour ! I personally think that a 6 headed guitar is literally impracticle to play! It is a novelty and “YES!” if I had £750 to spare, I might consider buying it as a collection however, I am not a great fan of it. It is extremely heavy to pick and you cannot reach down to the bottom guitar if you try to play it when wearing the guitar!

What next? The Son of the beast? A 12 headed guitar?

I'm going to see Joe Satriani at the weekend, lo he would be the perfect answer to this question that didn't need asking anyway, but I'll wager he would walk this creation/thing. Probably end up teaching it to play itself.

Haha, he definitely would be the perfect answer and you are lucky to see such a legend perform live in front of you! I also play the drums alot and have been a fan of Terry Bozzio (also play his style of drums) and watching him perform live was a great motivation and inspiration. Hope that is the same for you when you see J Satriani!
